Howdy ho folks, I’m here to discuss the rumors around Dustin Brown losing the “C” for the Kings. I personally think Drew Doughty gets the “C”, Greene keeps the “A” till his retirement, and Kopitar gets the other “A”. Brown has been slumping the last 2 seasons. His only major stats are body checks. I could see Brown out of LA in the next couple years, but that article is for another day and time. Doughty for Captain, why? Drew has shown both great defensive skills and some pretty impressive offensive moves in the past 3 years. Drew has played an important role in the 2 Stanley Cup victories for the Kings. Drew’s stats this year were 7G, 39A for 46 points and a 3+/-, to Brown’s 11G, 16A, for 27 points and a -17. This says it all. Brown is also 30 years old, and I think the Kings need a younger player to be the face of the franchise. Drew is 25.
