The Calgary Flames have been labeled as one of the “Top Winner’s In This Year’s NHL Offseason.”

Adding a young D-Man in Dougie Hamilton to the young Calgary Flames roster was a huge boost to their back end.

But for this time around we will be talking about the forwards.

Last year the line of : Gaudreau- Monahan- Hudler did a majority of the teams scoring. This year if the Flames want to make a deep playoff run they will need more talent up front. Sure Lance Bouma, Micheal Ferland and Joe Colborne will all be more developed this year along with many other players but the Flames still need a few forwards to make sure they are a deep team.

Signing forward Micheal Frolik was a very smart signing as he can add some veteran leadership to the young Flames roster. He can play at both ends of the rink and will help out the Flames PK.

Here are some possible players the Flames could potentially trade for.

Tyler Bozak

Salary: 3.5 Million

Tyler Bozak is a good 2nd line center and would fit in great with the Flames. Last year he had 49 points in 82 games with a struggling Maple Leafs team.

David Backes

Salary: 4.5 Million

There have been trade rumors of Backes getting traded to the Flames. Backes is also a center and would bring great leadership as well. Last year Backes had 58 points in 80 games.

Colin Greening

Salary: 2.3 Million

Colin Greening has never really found a place for himself with the Senators. Greening could add speed and depth for the Flames up front. Last year Greening appeared in just 26 games with the Sens.

These are just some players that the Flames could potentially trade for.
